My Journey

Sport and in particular, football, has always been my obsession. I can talk, play, and promote sport all day long. I have been driven by my desire to work in the industry since a young age with the initial cliché dream of becoming a 'professional footballer'. I then reluctantly accepted this was not going to happen and discovered the next best thing… supporting others achieve their ambitions of becoming professional footballers, athletes, and sportspeople, as well as encouraging individuals to get involved in sport and exercise. I have studied PE/Sport & Exercise Science right through education from GCSEs to A-Levels to Undergraduate study. I discovered my interest for Sport Psychology in my final year of my UG degree, where I solidified this passion and pursued a Masters in Applied Sport & Exercise Psychology at St Mary's University, Twickenham. This initiated my journey to become a HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist. I now have experience of working in a range of sporting and organisational environments and supporting a diverse range of populations.

I adopt an eclectic approach to practice involving the use CBT techniques and psychological skills training, but from a humanistic, person-centred lens to more efficiently meet the different needs of clients and athletes. I tend to support clients develop holistically, both in and out of their respective sports. I very much push for client autonomy in sessions, allowing them to lead their own journeys to achieve growth and/or successful performance. However, I can integrate a more directive approach when required or for individuals who may prefer a more practitioner-led approach. I always try to integrate comfort, relation, and openness in sessions to build strong, trusting relationships with clients.

Outside of this, I enjoy adrenaline-fuelled activities and have ambitions to travel the world and explore different cultures. I have an innate desire to keep learning and growing as an individual in all aspects of my life. I am known for my positivity, approachability, and proactivity, which I carry through in my personal and professional life. Being brought up in a diverse community with powerful values has helped me develop high cultural awareness and empathetic understanding, which reflects my genuine and positive nature that I exhibit across all environments.
